ADDISON, Ill.- In a fierce divisional match-up at Addison Ice Arena, the Chicago Crush Elite squad displayed their hockey mastery against the Decatur Blaze, securing a commanding 9-0 victory that left the home crowd in awe. The Crush dominated from start to finish, showcasing an unrelenting offensive onslaught and tight defensive play.

The first period saw Joseph Coglianese opening the scoring just under six minutes into the game, setting the tone for a potent offensive display. Kaleb Freyman, Jaden Yuknis, and Jace Levine each contributed goals, highlighting the Crush's offensive depth. By the end of the first period, the scoreboard reflected a significant 5-0 lead for Chicago.


The Crush continued their offensive barrage in the second period, with Christopher Frachalla adding another goal to the tally. Despite Decatur's efforts, the Blaze struggled to contain Chicago's offensive aggression. Goaltender Christopher Stamos stood tall, denying every Blaze attempt on goal. The period ended with the Crush extending their lead to 6-0.

The third period saw the Crush adding three more goals to complete the emphatic shutout. Ryan Parkin, John Martino, and Jace Levine all contributed to the scoring, sealing the fate of the Blaze. The game concluded with a final score of 9-0 in favor of the Chicago Crush.


The game was not without its physicality, as both teams accumulated penalties throughout the contest. Decatur's Grason Patchkofsky faced consequences for slashing, while the Crush found themselves shorthanded due to penalties, including a game misconduct for Austin Kessel.


Christopher Stamos of the Chicago Crush delivered a flawless performance, stopping all 11 shots he faced and earning his first USPHL shutout. On the opposing end, Morgan Heck of the Decatur Blaze faced an onslaught of 56 shots, managing to make 47 saves but ultimately conceding nine goals.

Jaden Yuknis, with two goals and two assists, played a pivotal role in Chicago's victory. Jace Levine with 2 goals and Austin Kessel with 3 assists also made significant contributions. The Crush's offensive depth and solid goaltending propelled them to a convincing win.


With this win, the Chicago Crush Elite squad maintained their perfect record against the Decatur Blaze for the current season, solidifying their position atop the standings in the USPHL.
