BENSENVILLE, Ill.- In an intense crosstown clash at the Edge Ice Arena, the Chicago Crush Elite squad secured a convincing victory against their cross-town foes, the Chicago Cougars, with a final score of 6-3. The Friday afternoon matchup showcased the skill and determination of both teams, ultimately favoring the Crush.

The game unfolded with an explosive first period, featuring a goal from Vincent Cerrentano for the Crush at 5:43, assisted by Kevin McKenna and Cole Darlas. The Cougars responded with a goal from Mark Shibalov at 16:53, assisted by Kennelly Clinton. The Crush regained the lead with a goal from Ryan Parkin at 14:10, assisted by Will Soldano.


The second period saw Austin Kessel extending the Crush's lead with a power-play goal at 15:28, assisted by Tyler Rentner and Brody Luzbetak. The Cougars faced penalty trouble, with Nicholas Calvey serving a high-sticking penalty and Jeffrey Schroeder a cross-checking penalty.

In the third period, the Crush maintained their momentum. Jace Levine scored at 5:54, assisted by Niko Dougan, securing the game-winning goal. Despite a major slashing penalty to Ryan Parkin, the Crush continued to dominate, as Parkin redeemed himself with another goal at 9:21, assisted by Niko Dougan and Kevin McKenna.


The Cougars managed to score twice more, with goals from Nolan Machala and Robert DeMarco on a power play to make in 5-3. With 24 seconds remaining in the game, Austin Kessel put the nail in the coffin with his second goal of the night assisted by Ryan Parkin and Brody Luzbetak.
