ROMEOVILLE, Ill.- The three game series began on Friday, February 16, with the Chicago Crush Elite squad storming into the Decatur Civic Center like a force of nature. The opening game saw the Crush Elite deliver a masterclass in offensive precision, claiming an 11-2 triumph. The Crush wasted no time in asserting their offensive prowess, with Niko Dougan, Jack Martino, and Rocco Esposito orchestrating a scoring spectacle.The scoreboard lit up with goals from various contributors, showcasing the Crush's depth and teamwork. Goalie Kyle Tyszkiewicz stood tall between the pipes, denying the Blaze's attempts to mount a comeback. The relentless physicality and disciplined play allowed the Crush to capitalize on power-play opportunities, setting the tone for the rest of the series.

The second game, held on February 17 at the Decatur Civic Center, witnessed the Crush maintaining their stranglehold over the Blaze. The intensity of the on-ice battles was top-notch as both teams clashed fiercely. The Crush's goaltender, Johnny Augusta, showcased his reflexes with a flawless performance, securing a shutout victory. The physicality of the game reached its peak with a major altercation, resulting in disqualifications for Evan Rzeszutko and Hammad Khan. The Crush outshot the Blaze 55-25, emphasizing their offensive dominance and securing a 5-0 win.

The series came to an end at the Canlan Ice Arena in Romeoville,Ill. on February 19, with the Crush delivering a spectacular 10-2 victory to complete the sweep. The home crowd roared with delight as the Crush showcased a relentless offensive onslaught. Joseph Coglianese, Christopher Frachalla, and Vincent Cerrentano set the tone in the first period, establishing a 3-0 lead. The Crush extended their lead in the second period, with key contributors like John Martino and Austin Kessel finding the back of the net. The final period saw Grant Paullo, Anthony Frachalla, and Austin Kessel delivering the finishing blows, solidifying the Crush's dominance.


The goaltending heroics of Tyler Siuda, who turned away 20 of 22 shots, and the Crush's effective special teams played pivotal roles in the victory. The power play capitalized on two opportunities, while the penalty kill held strong, preventing the Blaze from converting on their power play.
