MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. - The Mount Clemens Ice Arena witnessed a spectacle as the Chicago Crush Elite engaged in a rollercoaster three-game series against arch-rivals, the Metro Jets Elite. This intense divisional showdown, following a Thursday night matchup against the Fort Wayne Spacemen, unfolded like a gripping saga of passion, resilience, and heated competition in the USPHL.


Thursday, February 22, 2024: Crush Fall Short in Intense Battle at The Madhouse in Addison

Before their road trip to Michigan, the Chicago Crush Elite faced a tough challenge on Thursday night at The Madhouse in Addison against the Fort Wayne Spacemen. The game was marked by back-and-forth action, with the Spacemen ultimately securing a 6-2 victory. The loss served as a gritty prelude to the upcoming series against the Metro Jets, highlighting areas for improvement and fueling the Crush's determination to bounce back on the road.


Game 1 - Friday, February 23, 2024: Metro Jets 3, Crush 1

The series opener in Mount Clemens was a gritty affair, with the Metro Jets securing a 3-1 victory. Austin Kessel's lone goal showcased the Crush's offensive talent, but the Jets' penalty kill and goaltender Zachary Robert's resilience proved decisive. The stage was set for redemption in the subsequent games.

Saturday night witnessed a spectacular turnaround as the Crush dominated the Metro Jets with a resounding 5-1 victory. Jace Levine's stellar performance, coupled with contributions from Ryan Parkin, Joseph Coglianese, and Jaden Yuknis, breathed life back into the Crush. The game showcased disciplined play and stellar goaltending from Johnny Augusta, providing a glimmer of hope for the Crush faithful.




Game 3 - Sunday, February 25, 2024: Metro Jets 4, Crush 1

In the final showdown, the Crush battled hard but succumbed to a 4-1 defeat against the Metro Jets. Despite Cole Darlas's late goal, the Jets sealed the series with an empty-netter. Penalty minutes soared, showcasing the intensity of the rivalry. Goaltender Christopher Stamos stood tall, but the Jets' offensive surge proved insurmountable.


As the Crush Elite head back to Chicago, they carry with them the lessons learned and the sparks ignited in this rollercoaster series against the Metro Jets.
