FRASER, Mich.- In a nail-biting clash between divisional rivals, the Motor City Gamblers emerged victorious over the Chicago Crush Elite in a heart-stopping shootout, securing a 4-3 win after an intense battle at Big Boy Arena.


The first period saw the Chicago Crush taking the lead as forward Will Soldano netted a beauty at 12:46, assisted by Leo Riani. The pace was relentless, but both goaltenders, Ilan Walny for the Crush and Sullivan for the Gamblers, stood tall, denying any further goals. The period ended 1-0 in favor of the visiting Crush, setting the stage for a highly anticipated matchup.


The second period proved to be a defensive battle, with neither team able to break through. Despite several power-play opportunities, including a major penalty against Statham for the Gamblers, both goaltenders showcased their skills, keeping the scoreline unchanged. The physicality escalated with multiple penalties, creating an atmosphere charged with tension.


The third period exploded with action as the Motor City Gamblers quickly turned the game around. Marcella found the back of the net at 3:08, leveling the score. However, Austin Kessel responded for the Crush at 8:24, regaining the lead. The Gamblers fought back with goals from Bonnay at 12:16 and a quick response from Will Soldano for the Crush at 16:04. Bonnay struck again for the Gamblers at 16:25, tying the game at 3-3. The period ended with both teams leaving everything on the ice, setting the stage for an electrifying overtime.


The first overtime period showcased incredible goaltending and near misses, but neither team managed to score. Penalties added to the drama, but the goaltenders and penalty killers held strong, pushing the game to a shootout.


The shootout proved decisive as the Motor City Gamblers' Marcella and Bonnay found the back of the net, securing the 4-3 victory. The Chicago Crush, despite a valiant effort, couldn't solve Sullivan in the shootout, resulting in a hard-fought loss.


The shot count was close, with the Crush registering 33 shots on goal and the Gamblers with 39. Goaltenders Ilan Walny and Moter City's Sullivan showcased their skills, making crucial saves throughout the game.


The Big Boy Arena witnessed an intense battle between two divisional powerhouses, leaving the fans on the edge of their seats until the final shootout. The Motor City Gamblers celebrated a hard-earned victory, while the Chicago Crush left the ice with heads held high, ready to bounce back in the next clash between these fierce rivals.
